About Scott Samborn
AMG is a one-person practice. When you work with AMG, you work directly with me, not an account manager, not a junior consultant assigned to your file.
My background
I've been in technology since 1993, over 30 years now. I started doing network and IT administration consulting for large organizations, including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, JPMorgan Chase, Union Carbide, and Freddie Mac. Then I spent 20 years building and running my own managed IT services practice, serving small businesses and professional services firms across the DC Metro area.
Before founding AMG, I worked closely with technology vendors and consulting firms across a wide range of client engagements. I kept seeing the same pattern: solutions built and priced for large enterprises, sold to small businesses that would never see a return on them. I had spent two decades on the other side of that table, running a business at exactly that size, and I knew why those engagements failed before they started.
AMG exists to do it differently: take the tools and thinking that work at the enterprise level, and make them work at the price and scale of a small firm, one that actually pays for itself.
